French Lavender Essential Oil

The plants distilled to make this oil are a French-hybrid (Lavandula x intermedia), so the scent is quite fresh, almost menthol-like. This is due to the high levels of Camphor (chemical compound) produced by the plant. 

About the Name + Years

We grow two types of a French lavender that each boast their own unique aromas:

• Phenomenal '24 - Woody, menthol, fresh
• Phenomenal '25 - Woody, menthol, fresh
• Sensational '25 - Sweet, menthol, fresh

We label our essential oils by the year they were distilled, similar to wine vintages. We believe essential oils differ year-to-year depending on plant age and growing conditions that year. We also know that the time of year that the plants are harvested + distilled impacts the aroma + make up of the organic compounds (chemicals) found in essential oil.
