The plants distilled to make this oil are a true English lavender (Lavandula x angustifolia), so the scents are sweet, herbaceous + floral. English lavender contains coumarin (chemical compound), which has a sweet, warm + comforting scent. 

About the Name + Years

We grow many types of a English lavender that each boast their own unique aroma notes, but these two English oils are our favourite:

We label our essential oils by the year they were distilled, similar to wine vintages. We believe essential oils differ year-to-year depending on plant age and growing conditions that year. We also know that the time of year that the plants are harvested + distilled impacts the aroma + make up of the organic compounds (chemicals) found in essential oil.
