Planning Your Visit to Tullamore Lavender Co.

You're planning your visit to our farm – yay! I think you’re going to love it.

Visiting a farm is not likely something you’ve done a lot before. What do people even do at a lavender farm? I get it. I love doing research before visiting a place or trying a new experience. So, I’ve compiled answers to our most common questions to help you get excited for your visit.

When can I visit the lavender?

Our 2026 open season runs June 25 - Aug 2. Open hours are:

  • Thursdays 10AM - 8PM
  • Fridays 10AM - 4PM
  • Saturdays 10AM - 4PM
  • Sundays 10AM - 4PM

Where are you located?

Our farm address is 7595 Wellington Rd 109 Arthur, ON. Here's the Google Maps link.  Look for the black sign at the end of the laneway.

What is there to do?

It might sound wild, but we hope you don’t do anything! We believe the best part of our on-farm experience is just experiencing the simplicity of what's around you. There is so much to be said about doing nothing + letting your senses take over.

  • Smell and touch the lavender
  • Stroll the fields (we have three distinct areas to explore)
  • Sit on the patio + enjoy the summer sun
  • Put your feet in the grass + talk with a friend
  • Listen for birds singing or bees buzzing
  • Enjoy a lavender snack + drink
  • Explore the lavender shop
  • Ask for a short tour
  • NEW: Take a minute to help paint our community colouring mural

How big is the Tullamore lavender farm?

Our main plot, stone plot, lavender shed + patio take up about an acre of space on our 80-acre farm. You’ll be able to walk through plots that contain about 4,500 lavender plants. It’s small – but still A LOT of lavender to enjoy. We keep ticketing windows fairly small so that everyone has space to enjoy without feeling crowded.

When is the best time to see lavender?

We have many different types of lavender on the farm + all bloom at different times. This means there is always something in bloom during our open season. Our English lavender is the first to bloom (mid-June to early July). By mid-July our French lavender takes over as the show stopper.

Is the farm kid-friendly?

Yes, a lavender farm is a great place to bring kids. Lots of open space, an abundance of things to observe with their senses, and it's just as fun for adults. Plus, children under the age of 12 enter our farm for free! Check out all our suggestions/tips for bringing kiddos to Tullamore Lavender Co.

Can I pick my own lavender?

New this year, we are trialling pick-your-own lavender. Talk to the staff in the shop for full details.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, dogs / pets are not allowed on the farm as we grow culinary products. Service animals are welcome.

Are there washrooms?

Yes, we have portable washrooms onsite, including a wheelchair accessible unit. Don’t worry – we keep them neat and tidy ;)

Can I take photos?

Yes, for sure! We just ask that you are respectful of other visitors + not to take photos with strangers in them :) We do not allow drones on the farm.

Can I bring food?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own snacks + drinks. Be sure to pick up any garbage you bring with you + please avoid brining any allergens like peanuts. Portable burners or BBQs are not allowed on the farm.

How long can I stay?

Ticket windows are for one hour, but visitors are welcome to stay as long as they like during our open hours.

What should I wear?

Sunscreen + hats for sure. Thelavender fields are in full sun. The ground is often uneven and bumpy, so we also recommend avoiding shoes like flip flops or heels.

If you're keen on taking the best photos, the following colouring look really fabulous in the fields: yellows, rusty oranges, whites + creams, and purple, of course. Lime greens and bright blues also look great in contrast with the fields.
